SI5040-EVB is an evaluation and demonstration board and kit used in the field of high efficiency wireless power transformation. It supports class E topology to achieve high performance capability in regards to both efficiency and size. The kit is based on NXP\'s high performance power switches, modules, RF-IDs, and control ICs.The SI5040-EVB can be used to build custom wireless power transfer systems. It is designed to provide easy implementation with high performance capabilities, and has a wide range of functions available. These include:• Wireless power transfer up to 8 watts • Wireless power transfer up to 12 watts at 5V• High efficiency conversion up to 95%• High reliability and stabilization• Overheat protection• Low power consumptionThe SI5040-EVB has a working principle that is based on two key components: the transmitter unit and the receiver unit. The transmitter unit is comprised of a board, an energy harvesting/storage unit, and a transmitter coil. The receiver unit is a board, an energy harvesting/storage unit, and a receiver coil.The components of the transmitter unit are connected to the energy harvesting/storage unit via Bluetooth connection. A DC voltage source is then connected to the transmitter coil, causing a current to flow through the coil. Since the coil is part of an electromagnetic field, a voltage is induced in the receiver coil.
