The SI53307-B-GMR is a high-performance, low-jitter, 3.3V dual frequency clock generator designed for clock synthesis, synchronization, and periodic frame synchronization. The device features advanced phase-locked loops (PLLs) for generating periodic frames, as well as several universal input clocks for timing and reference clock systems. The device takes input frequencies from a wide range of sources, which allows for the flexibility of having several clock and timing applications. The device supports up to 18 different outputs including 8 LVCMOS, 8 differential LVDS, and 2 LVPECL outputs. The SI53307-B-GMR can also be used in clock synthesis, phase-locked loop (PLL) designs, and clock-data recovery (CDR) applications. The device offers two PLLs - a main PLL and an auxiliary PLL. The main PLL can be used to generate long and short intervals, while the auxiliary PLL can be used to adjust the phase of the output clocks relative to an input reference clock. The device also includes a programmable clock multiplier, called the High Speed Clock Divider, which can be used to divide the reference clock by up to 20 to reduce the reference clock to a frequency that is suitable for low-speed applications.The SI53307-B-GMR features several features to reduce jitter. The PLLs are designed to reduce jitter from the reference clock by using advanced coding techniques and frequency control techniques. The device also features an adjustable Open Loop Response management feature to reduce jitter from strongly varying input clocks. Finally, the device features a fractional-N Frequency Synthesizer, which is designed to reduce jitter caused by non-integer switching frequencies.In terms of clock buffering, the SI53307-B-GMR features several buffer options to provide stable and reliable clock outputs. The device includes a programmable Clock Deskew feature to adjusts the skew between clocks, as well as a programmable Loop Filter option to reduce jitter on the output in heavily loaded systems.
