The SP6125EB evaluation board is an off-line SMPS specifically designed for use as either a DC/DC or AC/DC converter, making it one of the most versatile pieces of equipment available on the market. It features a selection of components and features such as an embedded DC/DC voltage controller, an isolation transformer, an interleaved switch mode power supply (SMPS) stage with high efficiency and low noise, an integrated array of low-ripple electrolytic capacitors, a wide input voltage range, and a low cost solution that can be used for a variety of applications.
The SP6125EB features a DC/DC converter with a maximum output power of 25W. The DC/DC converter also features an adjustable sense voltage and current limit, allowing for adjustments to be made that ensure the maximum available power is safely generated. The adjustable sense voltage allows for the control of the maximum output voltage, while the adjustable current limit prevents the DC/DC converter from loading too much current, preventing any faults due to overload.
