As the core component of the traditional switch, magnetic sensor, is widely used in security systems and household appliances. Recently, with the development of smart home and other application, the requirement of performance, size, and volume of magnetic switches are increasing exponentially. To meet such requirements, solid state switches have been developed. And the SS360PT belonging to this category is particularly noted for its accuracy and convenience.

The SS360PT works in three stages. Firstly, the Hall sensor detects the magnetic field strength and outputs this signal, in the form of a voltage, to the signal conditioning ASIC. The ASIC then applies a temperature compensating algorithm to ensure the output is accurate and stable. Lastly, the ASIC interprets this signal and produces an output that is used to switch the device on or off depending on the angle of the detected magnetic field.
