The SS495A2 is a kind of magnetic sensors called linear, compass (ICs). It belongs to a family of Hall Effect linear transducers which provide a precise voltage output that is proportional to the strength of the applied magnetic flux. It is designed to be suitable for both applications that require high accuracy measurement and operational conditions that require precision and stability.

The SS495A2 works on a basic principle of the Hall Effect which exploits the creation of an electric field perpendicular to the describing magnetic field.
