The SS496A is a kind of magnetic sensor that falls into the category of Linear, Compass (ICs). The SS496A is an integrated device consisting of two Hall sensing elements and an output amplifier with a voltage output. An external magnetic field is applied to the device and is sensed by the Hall sensing elements. The device comprises of three independent parts, the supply part, the Amplifier part and the feedback part. The voltage supply part of the device provides power to drive the internal circuits and provides isolation of the SS496A from the external environment. The feedback part of the device is the closed loop feedback system which is designed to control and regulate the output voltage from the device.
