These components include a PMSM motor control development board, a low-level protection board, a DC power board, a DC supply board, a CPLD board and various cables and accessories. The board also comes with a comprehensive suite of software tools, such as the STM32 Motor Control Workbench, to support evaluation and development activities. The board also provides a wide variety of resources to assist the user in configuration, calibration, testing and debugging of the system.STEVAL-IHM018V1 is based on ST\'s STM32F103XXX MCU. The MCU incorporates a high-performance 32-bit-core, which is capable of driving motor resolutions from standard clock frequencies up to 2GHz. The board also features rich connectivity options, including USB, CAN, and UART, allowing connection to external evaluations and the development of driver applications for demonstration scenarios.The board is equipped with low-level protection and a voltage regulator which allows for quick and reliable protection of the STM32F103 device. It also offers in-system programming and debugging capabilities with the on-board J-Link probe, allowing for enhanced development and real-time debugging. A set of motor control related I/O boards is available to provide overcurrent, 60V reverse blocking, and overvoltage protection. The boards provide electrical insulation between the power supply side and the evaluation side, providing a reliable power distribution system and an additional level of protection against accidental damage.The on-board motor controller system provides an integrated set of features, such as field-oriented control, speed regulator, torque and speed control, four quadrant operation, severe environment control, and more. It also offers a variety of settings for the user to choose from to tweak the system.In addition, the system includes advanced visualization tools like graphical monitoring functions, real-time telemetry, Fuzzy Logic Graphical User Interface (GUI), remote system control and parameter tuning, overvoltage and undervoltage protection, and a DC/DC converter for supplying the board from a 24V industrial supply voltage. The on-board system allows for an integrated motor control system that can easily be customized for any given application.With its available tools and components, the STEVAL-IHM018V1 offers a powerful platform for quickly and efficiently evaluating and demonstrating ST MCU motor control solutions.
