STEVAL-ISA004V1

The STEVAL-ISA004V1 is an Evaluation Boards - DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS designed for industrial applications. It is a high power, single-channel SMPS module measuring only 111 x 41 mm. It provides up to 59 W of output power in a wide input voltage range (85-265VAC). It has an internet switchable input voltage range from 48 to 265 VAC. A unique feature of this module is that it has a permanent magnet DC to DC switching converter.[1]

The STEVAL-ISA004V1 is based on the STmicroelectronic’s STM6968B integrated Class-D audio amplifier and the STmicroelectronic’s SMPS controller family. The STM6968B can deliver up to 18 W of maximum RMS power at 4 ohms with 1% THD+N from a 24 V power supply. It has a high-efficiency stand-by mode (less than 0.5 W). The thyristor has a 600 V rated voltage, 2 A holding current and 4 A peak current rating. The power factor is higher than 0.85 at light load conditions.

The SMPS controller can be configured to allow for fast transient response and soft-start features, as well as overload and over temperature protection features. The STEVAL-ISA004V1 can work with any micro-controller or digital signal processor-based controllers. It is easy to integrate in commercial DC/DC or AC/DC power supplies.
