The STEVAL-ISA071V2 is a multi-output, high power density, compact off-line switching mode power supply (SMPS) evaluation board. It is designed for use in a wide variety of industrial and consumer applications from medical imaging to networking and communications equipment. It features multiple outputs with configureable current and voltage, adjustable start-up times, over-current protection, and constant current and constant frequency control.
The STEVAL-ISA071V2 utilizes a quasi-resonant SEPIC (Single Ended Primary Inductor Converter) topology with power factor correction (PFC) to achieve a high efficiency and low-cost high-output power supply. The output of the board is capable of delivering up to 12.5A at 5V, 12.2A at 12V, and 2.1A at 24V. The operating frequency is user-adjustable in the range of 60 kHz - 400 kHz.
The STEVAL-ISA071V2 has been designed with safety features such as short-circuit protection, over-voltage protection, and over-current protection. The board also features current sense and voltage sense, providing improved operating efficiency and power factor.
