Introduction
STEVAL-PCC008V1 is a DC/DC switching regulator evaluation board designed to facilitate the evaluation of the SPP04N60C3 N-channel MOSFET in an isolated forward converter. Working principle of STEVAL-PCC008V1

It has a two-stage power converter structure; its input stage is a buck converter for bulk voltage leveling and the output stage is a forward converter for voltage and current regulation.
The main operations of the board are as follows:
- The input stage is a buck converter, with the voltage on the bulk capacitor set by the feedback loop. When the SPP04N60C3 MOSFET is turned on, it draws current from the input to charge the bulk capacitor and provide power to the load. This process is then repeated.
- The output stage is a forward converter, with the output voltage set by the feedback loop. When the SPP04N60C3 MOSFET is turned off, it stops drawing current from the input and allows the current to flow through the primary winding of the transformer. This allows power to be transferred from the input to the output and regulates the output voltage.
