The SY89532LHC is a high-performance clock generator and phase-locked loop (PLL) device designed to provide up to four clock outputs with exceptionally high jitter performance. The SY89532LHC was specifically designed to work in high-frequency clock applications such as telecommunications, network switching, Ethernet switching and other data communication applications. It is an ideal choice for clock generators and PLLs used in clocks, synthesizers, frequency dividers and other clocking circuits.

The SY89532LHC is designed for high frequency clock applications and features a wide range of output frequencies up to 125 MHz. It is provided in a low power 28-pin TQFP package and is operated from a single +3.3V supply. The SY89532LHC uses an on-chip voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) to generate a clock signal from an input reference. The VCO output is then divided down to the required frequency using a divider circuit.

The SY89532LHC also features two types of buffer to provide noiseless clock outputs: AC coupled (ACF) and DC coupled (DCF). ACF buffers are suitable for providing buffered outputs with low-noise and low-jitter, while the DCF buffers provide high-frequency, high-accuracy and low-jitter outputs. The ACF buffers generate outputs with maximum jitter performance of 10ps RMS using a +3.3V supply and typically 500fs RMS using the +1.8V core supply. The DCF buffers generate outputs with maximum jitter performance of 500fs RMS (RMS).

In addition to the buffered clock outputs, the SY89532LHC also features an internal reference divider, allowing adjustable frequencies below 125MHz along with a programmable frequency multiplication circuit. This can be used to generate closely related clock frequencies to meet any application requirements. The input reference is generated by an external crystal or clock source, and allows quick and easy clock source substitution. The SY89532LHC also includes a high-accuracy phase detector and buffer circuitry to improve jitter performance and stability in frequency-hopping applications.

The SY89532LHC has a wide range of features that make it an ideal choice for clock generators, PLLs and frequency synthesizers. It features low noise output buffers which provide noiseless clock outputs, and adjustable dividers to provide closely related clock frequencies.
