SY89536LHZ-TR is a low phase noise, low jitter, three-output clock generator. This device adds a third output to industry standard high frequency clock generators, enabling new applications and reducing overall system cost. It is available in Pb-free and RoHS compliant package selections.
The SY89536LHZ-TR clock generator is targeted at applications such as wireless baseband, routers, switches, file storage and high-speed networking applications. It is intended to be used in applications that require three clock synchronous, such as Digital Radio Frequency Memories (DRFMs).
The SY89536LHZ-TR works on the principle of a phase-locked loop (PLL). The PLL is a closed-loop frequency control system which compares the phase spectrum of a reference signal with the output signal of a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO). However, instead of using the output signal of the PLL to control the frequency, the SY89536LHZ-TR uses the reference signal to control the frequency and phase of the three clock outputs.
The SY89536LHZ-TR has three inputs, two of which are differential mode. The differential mode connections provide a high common-mode rejection, thus improving signal integrity. The third input is an on-chip reference signal.
The SY89536LHZ-TR has three outputs, each of which can be programmed for a frequency of about 150 MHz to about 4 GHz.
