The T4240RDB-16GPA is a comprehensive development platform used to evaluate, and develop applications for the QorIQ T4240 processor. With features like the high frequency Power Architecture processor, high-speed DDR3 memory, efficient board design, as well as an array of hardware and software features, the T4240RDB-16GPA can be an ideal solution for embedded applications. The T4240RDB-16GPA’s processor is a dual-core 64-bit Power Architecture e6500 core running up to 1.8GHz. It has the ability to access up to 16 gigabytes of DDR3 memory. This makes it an ideal solution for applications that require high-speed data processing capabilities or extensive data storage needs. The T4240RDB-16GPA also features a 3-level power management architecture, allowing users to dynamically switch between active/idle/standby states for optimized power consumption.

The RapidIO interface can be used to connect up to 3 external RapidIO endpoints.
The T4240RDB-16GPA also features a variety of I/O ports including four 24-bit LCDs, four USB 2.0 ports, an SD card slot, a two-channel audio/microphone jack, an RDx/TDx serial port, and a push-button. Also included are optional features such as a 10/100 Ethernet port and an optional UART port.
