The THCV235-B is a high density, high reliability, and high speed serializer and deserializer interface. The THCV235-B offers a complete range of serialization options for a wide variety of digital and analog signals. It provides full encoding, decoding and multiplexing functions for serial I/O. The device is capable of converting from 1 up to 10 parallel signals from 8 to 20 Bit each, with different data rate resolutions, into a serial form at up to 50 Mbps on each lane.

The primary advantage of the THCV235-B serial interface is that it enables multiple data sources to be transmitted over a single lane. This dramatically reduces connector size, as only one connector is necessary for communication. Additionally, it saves board space, as the device size is much smaller than that of multiple parallel data transmitters.

The THCV235-B is based on a patented technology that uses a single clock to control the serial transmission of multiple channels of data. It works by splitting the clock into two parts; an even part and an odd part. The even part is used in the serialization of one half of the data, while the odd part is used to serialize the second half. This allows the device to encode two times the amount of parallel data that would otherwise be possible using only a single clock.
