Working Principle

The TLC7701QD consists of two voltage supervisors that independently monitor two adjustable threshold voltages. The Block diagram of the device consists of comparators and logic circuitry built into the TLC7701QD.The two input signals VINA and VINB are the two monitored voltage values. Each of the two inputs is fed to the set threshold comparators A and B respectively. The comparators have adjustable thresholds which make them suitable for monitoring different supplies voltages. The threshold voltage is set by the voltage value VM_SET, which is an externally generated voltage between 2.5V and 5.25V through an external resistor divider. When VINA or VINB are below VM_SET, the comparator transitions to a LOW output. When the voltage exceeds the threshold voltage, the comparator output transitions to HIGH. The LOW and HIGH outputs from the comparators are then fed to logic circuitry which is used to generate RESET and RDY signals. The RESET signal is used to reset the system when the input voltage values are outside the set thresholds. The RDY signal is generated when both channels indicate that the input voltage values are above their respective thresholds.
