The TLC7725ID is a high performance reset IC that is specially designed for use in PMIC (Power Management Integrated Circuit) applications. It is a single Supervisors IC that integrates all necessary signals for reset and delay functions. The TLC7725ID works as a supervisor in power systems to guarantee system reset in the event of over- or undervoltage/current conditions. Lastly, the comparator monitors the level of the voltage/current, and then informs the system of the over/undervoltage/current conditions.

The TLC7725ID provides two adjustable trip-point thresholds, which are used to decide when the reset signal should be asserted. These thresholds can be configured for different voltages/currents. The chip also offers an adjustable output delay, which is used to allow time for the system to recover from the over/undervoltage/current and prevent any potential damage. The hardware reset output can take one of two forms, active-high or active-low, determined by the level of the reset output pin.
