The TLC7725QDR is a voltage supervisor IC, specially designed to prevent malfunction due to out of tolerance brown-outs, overvoltages, undershoots, and other power supply problems. It monitors both a power supply and an input voltage or input voltage range, and reset output control signals to an external circuit when any of the monitored values goes out of tolerance. This makes the supervisor IC ideal for use as an under-voltage/over-voltage protection circuit, as well as for applications that require a reset for digital circuit operation, such as in microcontrollers, DSPs and other digital devices.
