The TLE42712SAKSA1 is a linear voltage regulator specifically designed to provide voltage regulation of high quality, meeting most requirements of modern, sophisticated electronic systems. Working Principle

The TLE42712SAKSA1 works by regulating the output voltage using a combination of current limiting, voltage regulation and error-amplifier circuitry. The reference voltage is applied to an input terminal and the voltage error amplifier compares it with the output voltage. A feedback loop adjusts the voltage in the output terminal by adjusting the current limit and the voltage regulator setting to maintain the output voltage.
