Working Principle

The phototransistor converts the light into electricity, which is converted into a low-level voltage (Vce) signal and sent to the rest of the circuit. The light energy is also used to turn the planar transistor on or off, depending on the illumination of the phototransistor\'s collector. This then controls the data or electrical signal sent from the transistor.
