The TLP7930 is a Multichannel Isolation Amplifier used for accurate data acquisition, specifically for input/output signals such as voltage and temperature. This device offers fast and simple set-up routines to convert different types of digital signals for data acquisition. It provides precise conversion accuracy, precise low-burden current, and wide dynamic range which can extend input voltage range up to -40V DC to +40V DC. The TLP7930 is available in two configurations: a Differential type, the TLP7930D4, and a Floating type, the TLP7930F. The TLP7930D4 amplifies differential input signals such as temperature, humidity and pressure to a level suitable for analog-to-digital conversion, while the TLP7930F amplifies both differential and single-ended input signals such as current, voltage, displacement and weight for data acquisition.

The TLP7930 provides fast and simple set-up routines to convert different types of digital signals for precision data acquisition. Through its patented high isolation technique, it is able to reduce the input and output errors caused by the stray power interference from other equipment. The TLP7930 accepts either unipolar or bipolar input signals that are compatible with the 5V TTL logic level, as well as single-ended and differential analog inputs. It provides up to 350 μA of low-burden current and its sample rate is selectable up to 10 MHz, with a specified accuracy of 0.025%. It also allows the user to program the gain and offset of each channel, as well as the temperature roll-off and the sample rate. As with the TLP7930F, the TLP7930D4 also offers high-impedance inputs to avoid loading effects when measurements are taken. Additionally, the TLP7930D4 offers an extra protection feature that shuts down the device if excessive voltage levels are detected.

The TLP7930F is used for single-ended applications such as current, displacement and weight measurements. It provides up to 200 μA of low-burden current, with a sample rate selectable up to 9 MHz and a specified accuracy of 0.1%. It is able to convert unipolar or bipolar input signals from -25V DC to +25V DC and has a wide dynamic range. In addition, it also offers the same high-impedance inputs with the TLP7930D4.
