Working Principle:
The TLV5614CDR DAC utilizes analog to digital conversion to efficiently generate analog transfer functions for use in signal processing and control applications. The chip features 12-bit resolution and can generate a wide variety of analog waveforms, including linear, ramp, step and sawtooth waveforms. These waveforms are generated by combining sampled data from the input digital signal with an internal PWM generator.
At the heart of the TLV5614CDR is the digital to analog conversion circuit. The 12-bit digital word is first converted to a voltage by a high-speed digital-to-analog converter (DAC). This voltage is then filtered and buffered for precise control and low power consumption.In addition to the conversion process, the TLV5614CDR features an internal PWM generator, which is used to generate the desired waveforms. The PWM generator uses the 12-bit digital word to control the duty cycles and frequencies of the PWM output. The output of this PWM generator is then used to modulate the output voltage from the DAC, thus generating the desired waveforms.
The TLV5614CDR DAC also features two different outputs. The first is the Diff/SEG output, which is a differential voltage output with a maximum differential swing of 2.5V. The second output is the HV/LV output, which is used for high voltage and low voltage applications. This output has a low voltage range of 0 to 0.3V and a high voltage range of 5 to 15V.
