The TLV5631IPWR is a dual-channel digital to analog (DAC) converter integrated circuit that belongs to the data acquisition category. This device is specifically created to enable precision performance and low power consumption. It features an integrated power supply voltage regulator and its on-chip amplifier design which enables the user to supply Amplified Non-Excitation Full-Scale Outputs for driving LCD panel/display or variable reference voltage analog circuits. The TLV5631IPWR is designed with two integrated DACs, one for the positive voltage and one for the negative voltage. The positive and negative DACs which can either be independent or tied together are switched between each other by the output control logic through the I/O pin. The output signal can be either 0 to VSS or -VSS to VDD. Each DAC has 12-bit resolution, allowing a maximum achievable resolution of 0.0001V. The maximum conversion rate of the TLV5631IPWR is up to 350ksps (1.5 VPP). It is featured with an internal clock source and high-precision reference voltage which ensures that the output voltage is highly precise and stable.
The TLV5631IPWR integrated output stage features a high precision output buffer. This output buffer drives high frequency full scale signals of up to 0.5Vp-p Max which is suitable for many analog circuits. It also has an adjustable tristate/shutdown state which allows the output to operate in either a high current state or a low current state, such as: sleep mode. The output range of the TLV5631IPWR is 0V to VCC and -VCC to VCC. The output current is adjustable from 0.03mA to 35mA depending on the requirements.
The TLV5631IPWR has I/O logic control inputs provided for the user, allowing the user to easily control when the DACs are on/off. All digital logic inputs support 3.3V, TTL and CMOS logic levels. In addition, the TLV5631IPWR offers internal software features such as auto calibration and level setting. The same registers are accessible through both standard serial and I2C communication protocols.
The TLV5631IPWR comes in a 24-pin SSOP package and operates over a temperature range of -40 to +105 degree Celsius. The typical power consumption of the TLV5631IPWR is < 15 mW.
