TLV7041DPWR Working PrincipleThe TLV7041DPWR device consists of six internal circuits which are operational amplifiers, Schmitt triggers, EMF reference amplifiers, comparators, open-collector output and protection circuits. The internal device of the TLV7041DPWR consists of two stages – the first stage is a differential amplifier opamp with non-inverting and inverting inputs, followed by a Schmitt trigger stage. Non-inverting input processes input signals, while the inverting input is connected to a voltage reference voltage. When the voltage reference voltage is equal to the input signals, the differential amplifier is stabilized and an output from the Schmitt trigger is generated. Depending on the nature of the input signals, the output from the Schmitt trigger stage is either “high” or “low”. The output of the TLV7041DPWR is available in either push-pull configuration or open-collector configuration.
Moreover, the open-collector output of the TLV7041DPWR also has special features such as a pull-up resistor, an over-current protection circuit, and a thermal protection circuit. The pull-up resistor allows for use in low-voltage systems, and offers the ability to resist against ESD and other forms of noise.
