Moreover, this IC features Reverse Voltage (Reverse-Voltage Protection-RVP), short-circuit protection, line transient protection, and overvoltage protection (OVP). Additionally, its current limit protection feature helps to protect downstream components.
TLV71333PDQNR Working Principle
The working principle of ULVRs such as the TLV71333PDQNR is similar to that of a standard LDOs, operating on the linear principle, but with significantly reduced voltage drops. This is attained by integrating an advanced low quiescent current low dropout (LDO) architecture, achieving very low drops across the regulator. The TLV71333PDQNR achieves an input/output (Vin/Vout) differential voltage of just 40 mV for load currents lower than 175 mA, when operated with a typical quiescent current of just 28uA and with an input line voltage of 5V.
The TLV71333PDQNR provides a precise output voltage, with a static voltage accuracy of only ±2%. Its ideally low quiescent current may be further optimized, depending on the application and current demands, by configuring the LDO in one of its three operation modes, including the current-limited PWM mode, the pass-transistor mode and the burst-mode, allowing it to be easily integrated into a system with correct power management.
The TLV71333PDQNR is a stable and reliable IC, with fast line-transient response, responding to an input line change of up to 5V/uS. It features excellent power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of up to 70dB at 1kHz, and offers a wide operating temperature range, from -40 to 125°C.
