TLZ2V4B-GS08 is a type of Zener diode, and as part of the growing range of Zener diode components from TI, it is manufactured in a small SOT-563 (TO-236AB) package with a 1.6 mm maximum height, designed for ultra-low profile applications. Being a single Zener diode, TLZ2V4B-GS08 is a two-terminal semiconductor device with a highly doped pn junction which exhibits a highly repeatable breakdown voltage for use in voltage clamping and voltage regulation applications. TLZ2V4B-GS08 consists of a pair of heavily doped n-type and p-type materials, typically silicon, to form a bipolar junction. It is constructed in such a way that when the voltage across the semiconductor device crosses the Zener breakdown region then the device will begin to conduct current.TLZ2V4B-GS08 also includes a wide range of Zener characteristics, including its voltage rating, leakage current, junction capacitance, power dissipation, reverse current, and temperature coefficient. This allows it to be used in a wide variety of applications, including over-voltage protection, reverse-energy suppression, voltage clamping, voltage regulation, temperature control, and noise suppression.The TLZ2V4B-GS08 can also be used in negative voltage regulation, voltage dividers and sensor circuits. In these applications, the device helps to ensure that the voltage remains within an acceptable range, reduce electromagnetic interference, and protect other components from overvoltage.
