Working Principle
TMP05BRTZ-REEL7 employs thermistor technology for its temperature measurement. This technology is based on the principle of resistance. The thermistor consists of a polycrystalline semiconductor material which is printed on a ceramic base.
The TMP05BRTZ-REEL7 also incorporates a self-generated temperature compensation algorithm based on the differences between the NTC characteristics of the thermistor and the circuit. This algorithm allows the sensor to identify the zero temperature point of the thermistor, compensated temperature measurement, system temperature range adjustment and error detection. When the temperature of the thermistor changes, the system will adjust the temperature signals accordingly, while avoiding errors due to temperature effects or system drift.
In addition, the TMP05BRTZ-REEL7 has an Analog and Digital Output interface.
