TPS60241EVM-194 is a versatile, low-cost and compact evaluation module (EVMs) for the TPS60241 voltage regulator set for Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) applications. The SMPS-based power module conveys a user adjustable regulated voltage that varies from 12-24V and can source up to 1A of current. The EVM provides multiple protection features, such as thermal shutdown with hysteresis and short circuit protected outputs. The TPS60241EVM-194 also includes the TPS60241 PoE voltage regulator set as well as many other standard components needed to evaluate the TPS60241.

It allows one pin regulation of an adjustable output voltage which could be adjusted over a wide range from 12V to 24V with a single resistor. This allows for easy and convenient design of an appropriate voltage for the particular application. The efficient and constant on-time architecture of the design provides superior transient and load line response that minimizes the output noise and reduces the size of the external components. The TPS60241 features integrated low-dropout regulators and a current limit circuit which can protect the power supply from shorting. The TPS60241EVM-194 evaluation module comprises of the TPS60241, inductor, capacitor, and resistors for a complete evaluation setup.
