6. Function Description

The TPS72301DBVRG4 has internal circuitry that monitors and limits the output current to protect the regulator from damage under all load conditions. When the output current reaches the output current limit (550 mA typical), the protection circuit turns on and reduces the output voltage to ensure that the current does not increase.
