Working Principle

The PWM compares the output voltage with the reference voltage and adjusts the duty cycle of the output waveform accordingly. This results in the output voltage being regulated at the desired level.

The UC2843AN has an internal thermal protection circuit which senses the junction temperature of the IC and shuts down the output if the temperature exceeds a safe limit.
