Working Principle

UC3525AQTR is a monolithic integrated circuit, comprises two stage control loops that together achieve tight output voltage regulation without requiring any external components. An internal oscillator generates a Variable clocking to establish a stator frequency that is lower than the input frequency, enabling each semiconductor switch to handle the high power spikes in the power supply system.

UC3525AQTR has an internal reference voltage that establishes the output voltage. The voltage difference between the input voltage and the reference voltage is compared and when a difference is detected, the oscillator is adjusted to create an output voltage that matches the reference voltage. The output voltage can be adjusted by changing the external capacitor values.

In addition to maintaining the output voltage, UC3525AQTR also provides protection against short-circuit, excess current, and reverse voltage.
