UC3836DG4 is a high performance, fixed frequency, current-mode Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) controller that has been specifically designed for Off-Line and DC to DC converter applications. It is a linear regulator controller designed to provide lower power dissipation than other PWM controllers by reducing internal current consumption. This device is also equipped with a built-in soft-start feature, which provides a smooth power-up transition with minimal input capacitance. In addition, it contains accurate on-chip reference and current sense amplifiers. It also features frequency jittering to reduce EMI, an open-drain output pin to indicate when the output has reached regulation, and an user selectable current limit setting.
