UC3865Q is single-resonant Converters, Offline Switchers, and part of the PMIC - AC DC Converters. It is designed with high-performance CMOS technology, providing drive capability for N-channel MOSFETs. It allows you to build a wide variety of power supply designs, while addressing requirements of high efficiency, good EMI performance, and low cost.

UC3865Q is a non-isolated switch-mode power supply controller, which can be used to drive an N-channel MOSFET in a hysteretic resonant circuit. It works on the principle of hysteretic on-time control. The pulse width of the gate drive is controlled by the voltage of the input capacitor. This enables constant switch on-time such that the power delivered to the load is stable over a wide range of line and load conditions.

Pin 3 is the ground pin which is connected to a negative rail. Pin 4 is an external capacitor which provides hysteresis controlled function to the MOSFET switch through its internal comparator. Pin 5 is Drive Adjust input, which is used to adjust the peak value of the MOSFET drive. Pin 6 is Ssec input, which is used to set the time delay while controller startup. Pin 7 is Frequency Adjust input, and is used to adjust the switching frequency.
