The mode increases efficiency by reducing the number of \'ON\' states for the switch and therefore, reduces the total input power. The \'burst on time\' (T1) is determined by the control voltage (VC) level and a Vref external signal. When the Vref signal is low (0V), the UC3874DW-2 enters burst mode. The total burst time is divided between the \'ON\' time (T1) and the \'OFF\' time (T2).
