Evaluation and Demonstration Boards and Kits

The UCC27532EVM-538 is an evaluation module designed to demonstrate the performance of the UCC27532 dual-channel high-side pre-driver IC. This board connections 10 N-channel gate drivers to the control pins of the UCC27532 that allow for reinforced isolation and capacitance improvement for each channel. Each of the channels can support up to 24V and can drive several N-channel MOSFETs or IGBTs simultaneously. This board also has built- so you can quickly program the desired behavior to the pre-driver IC.

Application Field and Working Principle

The UCC27532EVM-538 is designed to evaluate the switch performance in a wide range of applications such as motor controller, DCDC converters, solenoid drivers and power switches. It can be used in a variety of applications that require a heavy-duty, high reliability dual-channel high-side pre-driver IC. The board can also be used for Board evaluation of various devices like IGBTs, MOSFETs, gates, and other components.

The board uses a UCC27532 dual-channel high-side pre-driver IC that controls a 10 N-channel gate drivers that allows it to emit high side narrow PWM pulses. The Gate drivers on the board are also linked to decoupling resistors and stress protectors to buffer the pinch off voltage, and reduce the noise on the power and gate terminals. The UCC27532EVM-538 board also has on-board linear regulators to supply clean power to the dual-channel high-side pre-driver IC.

The board is equipped with two main LEDs that indicate the power and enable status. Three additional LEDs indicate the PWM output status for each channel. In addition, the board has two 10 kHz oscillators to configure the desired frequency of the PWM pulse. The board also has two switches for controlling the PWM duty cycle and frequency. The board is also compatible with the Texas Instruments software such as the Sensor Develpment Studio, Code Composer Studio, and I2C Tool to help users program the behavior of the UCC27532.
