PMIC - PFC (Power Factor Correction) devices are specially designed power management integrated circuits that use advanced digital control algorithms to form a dedicated power factor correction circuit that is used to ensure that the input current of the AC power supply is consistent with its voltage. The UCC29910APWR is the latest PFC controller developed by Texas Instruments. It is designed to regulate the power factor of AC power supplies up to 1,000 watts. The UCC29910APWR is a compact and highly integrated three-phase boost PFC/multi-phase interleave PFC (MPIPFC) controller designed to control the input power factor of a power supply system. The controller can also monitor the junction temperature of the external MOSFETs, providing programmable soft-start, current limit, over-voltage protection and temperature protection functions. In addition, the UCC29910APWR provides the ability to accurately regulate the output voltage of the system by setting parameters for the voltage reference (VREF) and power factor (PFC) compensation.
