The adjustable threshold of the deep discharge detection comparator can be used to avoid the use of a costly external resistor. The user can set the voltage detection level to the required value via an external power supply voltage.

The thermal shutdown circuit can be used to trim the maximum junction temperature to ensure safe operation or as a design aid to prevent thermal runaway. The OCP and UVLO protect the device in case of excessive load or undervoltage conditions.
