This hot swap controller, with load current limit and protection features, utilizes advanced protection and control features to safely integrate power supplies into a system by controlling inrush current, detecting output voltage, load current and output overcurrent.

The UCC3915PWP provides VPC control, low power dissipation, low quiescent and operating current, an adjustable Output current limit and protection, a Soft-Start current ramping feature, as well as fault status and fault reporting to the system. The hot swap controller permits automatic insertion and removal of 0V to 6V loads from unpowered or unpotentiated supply rails.
