Working Principle

The UCC3585M employs a "pulse-width modulation" (PWM) control system. This circuit allows it to control the output voltage and current by switching the output MOSFET switches. The oscillator frequency of the UCC3585M is fixed to 200kHz. The frequency of the oscillator is controlled by the external components, such as the RT and the CT capacitor.
