The UCC3818D is an integrated device that consists of an error amplifier, an oscillator, a high voltage MOSFET driver,and two current sensing amplifiers. The device includes both a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) mode and a Constant Voltage/Constant Frequency (CVCF) mode and can achieve a peak power factor of 1.0. The power factor and the switching frequency can be programmed independently. The device can also be configured to operate as a buck-boost converter with a programmable output voltage or as a single-stage converter with a variable output voltage.
