When a voltage is applied across the capacitorplates, the ions in the electrolyte are attracted to one plate and repelled from the other. This creates a charge difference between the plates and the current is conducted through the electrolyte. The resulting polarization of the plates creates a capacitive effect and the capacitor is able to store a charge.The UCL1E101MCL6GS series of aluminum electrolytic capacitors is designed to be highly reliable and provide better ripple current capacity and operating life than its predecessors.
