Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are essential and widely used components in all sorts of electric power systems, ranging from ac/dc and dc/dc power supplies to motor control systems and other industrial automation. They are found in many applications and are very popular in industry due to their wide range of uses and their high-performance characteristics. The UEP1V220MED capacitor is an example of the aluminum electrolytic capacitor family and will be discussed in this text.

The UEP1V220MED capacitors are rated for operation up to a temperature of 100˚C and their capacitance ranges from 0.33µF to 1000µF. They are characterized by their low impedance and high stability.
