<p><strong>Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors </strong>are components that utilize an electrolyte between two aluminum foils as a dielectric. The combination of the electrolyte and aluminum foils form a capacitor. The UKL2AR15KDD series of aluminum electrolytic capacitors are used in applications where high current ratings, low equivalent series resistance (ESR) and low dissipation factor (DF) are required.</p><p>The construction of the UKL2AR15KDD includes two electrodes, an electrolyte and a dielectric. The anode is a single rolled aluminum foil that is permeated with an electrolyte. The anode is covered by an aluminum water impermeable sealing layer. The electrolyte is usually composed of a combination of water and ethylene glycol or some other chemical compound. An external screening of an aluminum coating is applied to protect the anode from the environment.</p><p>The dielectric of the UKL2AR15KDD is an electrolyte material, which bonds to the anode.
