The URZ1C332MHD is built with an anode, a cathode and a dielectric medium separating the two electrodes. An anode is a positive terminal of the capacitor, while a cathode is a negative terminal. The dielectric medium’s composition varies depending on the capacitor type and can be anything from an aluminum oxide layer to carbon.When a voltage is applied, electrons accumulate around each terminal, creating an electric field with charges of opposite signs.
