The UUA1E331MNL1GS aluminum electrolytic capacitor is a product of the Japanese Nichicon Corporation. This product has a wide range of applications and is widely used in the fields of power electronics, robotics, motion control, automation, instrumentation, and automotive electronics.

Working Principle of UUA1E331MNL1GS Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor

The UUA1E331MNL1GS aluminum electrolytic capacitor is composed of three parts: anode, electrolyte and cathode. The anode is made of high purity aluminum foil, and an oxide film is formed in the surface layer through anodic oxidation. The two oxide films form a capacitor oxide dielectric. The electrolyte is generally aqueous liquid, and some electrolytic capacitors use organic liquid as electrolyte. The cathode is an aluminum foil which is sputtered with a certain amount of silver, nickel, manganese and so on, and soaked in an electrolyte. The anode and cathode are wrapped in a cylinder and sealed with an insulating sleeve.When applying electric voltage energy to the UUA1E331MNL1GS aluminum electrolytic capacitor, the anode forms a positive electric potential, the cathode forms a negative electric potential, and the positive ions in the electrolyte fall toward the negative electric potential. At this point, the positive ions attracted by the cathode will form a layer of positive ions on the cathode surface. The negative ions attracted by the anode will form a layer of negative ions on the anode surface. The positive ions and the negative ions form two electrostatic layers, the cathode near the surface of the capacitor electrolyte, and the anode form a capacitor-like structure, so that the capacitor is charged. The higher the volt screen penalty of this capacitor, the greater the pull on the ions that form the electric charge, and the greater the dielectric strength of the capacitor.The UUA1E331MNL1GS aluminum electrolytic capacitors have two main advantages: a high energy density, and a low-resistance, low-cost assembly. The high energy density is due to the oxide layers formed at the anode and cathode, which significantly improve the dielectric strength of the capacitor, thus providing the capacitor with longer life, higher temperature resistance and more charge retention. The low-resistance, low-cost assembly of the aluminum electrolytic capacitor is due to the use of a liquid electrolyte, which eliminates the need to use an expensive ceramic dielectric material, thus making the capacitor cost effective. In addition, because the aluminum electrolytic capacitor have a large capacity and low leakage, they are usually used in applications where high power is required and the energy saving is important.
