Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are one of the most common passive components in the electrical electronic industry, and have wide applications. UVR1C102MPD aluminum electrolytic capacitor is a 300Vdc rated aluminum electrolytic capacitor developed by Nippon Chemi-con. This capacitor features excellent ripple current capability, low impedance, and remarkable durability.

The construction of UVR1C102MPD aluminum electrolytic capacitor is based on a dielectric layer formed between two aluminum foil which are impregnated with special electrolytic solution. The surface of aluminum foil is modified by anode oxidization method to form a good insulator layer. The two aluminum foils are spiral-wound with a separator and then impregnated with a special electrolyte. The separator is usually made of combination paper or polypropylene film. The electrolyte is the special dielectric electrolyte solution.

In the UVR1C102MPD aluminum electrolytic capacitor, electric charges are generated due to the reaction of the electrolyte with the anode foil. These electric charges are what give the capacitor its ability to store energy. The dielectric layer between the two aluminum foils consists of a thin layer of oxide on the anode foil, which the cathode foil adheres to.The oxide layer is formed by the anodic oxidation process, which is a chemical reaction that produces an oxide film on the surface of the metal foil. The oxide layer is very thin and consists of aluminum oxide and a sodium salt.

The UVR1C102MPD aluminum electrolytic capacitor works by creating an electric field between the two aluminum foils.
