Working Principle: The VO4158H optoisolator works by using an infrared LED and photosensitive transistor to transfer an electrical signal between two circuits. The input circuit powers the LED, which then emits infrared light that is picked up by the photosensitive transistor. The transistor amplifies the signal and passes it to the SCR output. The break-off voltage, which is the voltage between the two SCR outputs, is less than 1 V, which means that the device can be used to switch small AC signals without any additional components.
