This voltage may be used to provide a common reference voltage in an application or as a voltage regulator to provide a stable voltage to the components. Voltage references are usually referred to as low- dropout (LDO) or linear regulators. The VRE305CS is an adjustable voltage reference designed for use in a range of applications.
