The cathode aluminum foil is rolled into a cylindrical shape in order to reduce effective surface resistance, and a metal case is affixed around it.The working principle of an aluminum electrolytic capacitor is based on the rule of parallel connection of capacitors. Two pieces of aluminum foil, one with an oxide film covering it, are inserted into a metal case filled with a liquid electrolyte. For a cylindrical aluminum electrolytic capacitor, the capacitance is determined by the thickness of the oxide film formed on the aluminum foil, the area of the aluminum foil, the distance between the two aluminum foils, and the electrical conductivity of the electrolyte.When an AC voltage is applied to the constructed aluminum electrolytic capacitor, an electric field between the two electrodes is induced by the applied voltage. This electric field induces an electric si-charge on the aluminum oxide film, thus creating a charge on the aluminum foil. As long as the applied AC voltage is maintained, the electric charge moves and the capacitor can accurately obtain and store the input electric current.At the same time, in order to ensure the stable performance of an aluminum electrolytic capacitor, its internal characteristics and temperature must be regularly adjusted and checked. If the temperature is too high, the electrolyte may evaporate, and the temperature of the capacitor will increase. If this happens, the storage capacity of the capacitor will decrease rapidly.
