Working Principle

The X5329PI voltage supervisor has two detection circuits to continuously monitor the voltage present between TP1 and TP2. The detection threshold can be set to a level above the supply voltage, assuring the safe shutdown of the system when the supply voltage falls below this level. When the voltage on TP1 is lower than the lower trip point (VLT), the RESETN gets pulled low. Leaving VLT, the RESETN will be pulled high after a delay of at most 600 ms, and the VDDD will go low shortly after.

The bumpers can be adjusted between 1.2V and 5.5V with a step size of 0.1V. the hysteresis of the X52PI can be adjusted between 10mV and 32mV with a step size of 4mV. It is easy to set up the correct parameters for the any circuit with the possible combinations. The X5329PI will keep monitoring the voltage level, and once it falls below the lower trip point, it will pull the RESETN pin low.
