The XR33038IDTR-F is an integrated device combining 4 channels of transmitters, 4 channels of receivers, and one power monitor output current monitor/accumulator. It is designed primarily for use in Ethernet applications using the 100BASE-FX Fast Ethernet standard. It is an FEC/ER self-contained device, supports line rates up to 125 Mbps. Not only for Ethernet applications, the XR33038IDTR-F can also be used in a variety of online and remote monitoring applications.
Interface - Drivers, Receivers, Transceivers drives the XR33038IDTR-F device. The driver, receiver, and transceiver channel blocks use metal-oxide-semiconductor (MOS) technology to transmit and receive data and power. The driver channel is able to drive 4 channels of differential signaling, while the receiver and transceiver channels are designed to detect data in 4 channels with high impedance. The power monitor and current monitor/accumulator provides real-time monitoring and control of system temperature, voltage levels, and current values throughout the system.
The XR33038IDTR-F works by transmitting data over multiplexed lanes, which provide much higher data rates than single-lane connections. To achieve these higher data rates, the device must be able to handle large amounts of data and the complexity of the data being transmitted. The XR33038IDTR-F accomplishes this by using advanced encoding techniques, such as FEC (forward error correction) and ER (encoded rule) coding. The data is then transmitted over multiplexed lanes in accordance with the relevant standard.
